Today was another one of those days for Mirei:
- She purposely wrapped her chewed gum around her head and got it all tangled up. Eventually, I yanked out a tuft of hair around shower time. She thought it was pretty funny and laughed.
- She fell backwards and banged her head against the ground.
- She had the usual walking into walls and door frames.
- She jumped on her bed and hit the bedframe or something. Looked like it hurt.
- Lastly, right before bedtime, she was fighting Taisei over turning off the lights for bedtime and grabbed the socket while it was half unplugged. Yep - she electrocuted herself briefly. That one was kind of nasty. I just did it a few weeks ago and it bites.

Crazy kid! Someone told me once that you let them do it and they learned, but after my kids fell of their grandma's kitchen bench on the back of their heads a dozen times, I figure some kids are just more cautious. Sounds like Mirei throws ALL caution to the wind! (And Taisei being such a careful kid must make it really stand out!)
Yikes, that sounds like Mirei, but I don't know how you guys aren't always stressed about her hurting herself. I'm feeling pretty lucky now that she was so mellow when I watched her although I have seen her swallow gum, bang her head, and fall off a bed in person.
I've mildly and briefly electrocuted myself before, too, and yeah, that bites. You'd better stick her in a bubble ...
When I mentioned this to J., he asked if you used peanut butter. I don't think I had heard that before so I looked it up, and apparently, it's a common way to help get gum out of hair ... for future reference if you didn't already know. :)
